Not only can my son use a toaster, it seems he is more than capable of being his best advocate during an IEP meeting.
I'm not going to rehash it, it's his story to tell if he wants. Bottom line is I didn't throw up, poop my pants, or have under the boob or forehead sweat. And I looked cute in jeans that haven't fit me in years. From the Gap. I even took a picture of my butt in the jeans to show Ward later.
Speaking of Ward, he didn't go to the IEP meeting with us, instead he decided to pick up a shift at work...so after Evan and I dropped off my mom (she came with) I rushed to the market (doesn't that sound quaint?) to pick up a chicken to feed Ward before he left for work...I zoom into the house, only to find him bumbling up the stairs 20 minutes before he needs to leave, muttering something about sleeping through his alarm. Poor Ward, he must have been snoring so loudly he didn't hear the darn thing.

Good to hear the meeting went well.
Mmmmm, chicken. Mind sharing? ;)
Yay Evan!! And yay for cute jeans & butt shots for husband! ;-)
See! He is just like his Mom--he rocks!
I was thinking of you today. I'm glad it was a better experience.
I need some cute jeans. Hmmmm. Oh yeah, I have to buy a car first. $$$
You took a picture of your butt! You are totally cracking me up. I love your blog. Thanks so much for visiting mine.
The pictures on your side bar of your son with Depp are great. I especially love the picture of him wearing the trench coat.
IEP's are so stressful. I have not been to one for a few years. I know they are in our future again at some point. Not sure if I am ready! Glad it went well.
Evan, Evan, are you there? Your mother has said the IEP event is your story, also hinted that you did something awesome. So, don't leave us in suspense too long. We want details.
(Osh, if he doesn't write something soon, please hide the waffles until he gets a-typing.)
So awesome that Evan went to his own IEP! Tell him that his fan club wants to hear all about it!
YIPPEE!!
So...you are happy with the outcome? So far, so good?
I was running late for work, but I was going to leave a comment at the time of your meeting. Know that I was sending all of my jedi thoughts your way!
And oh yeah, GO EVAN!! :)
Hooray! So glad to hear it went well. Now get Evan on the computer so he can tell us all about it!
